ACWS then distributes them to member shelters across Alberta so shelter workers across the province receive encouragement and support. Can I address my Valentine to my local shelter? Yes. You can address your Valentine to a specific shelter or write a general message to “a shelter worker.” Both are welcome. Can I drop my Valentine off directly at my local shelter? To help reduce pressure on shelters and coordinate distribution, we kindly ask that all messages be mailed to ACWS, rather than dropped off at individual shelters.
