Lift Her Up Roundtables We are currently seeking female political leaders from every level of government to participate in our Lift Her Up roundtables on March 19 and 25, 2026 in Edmonton. These roundtables are not a delivery of the training itself. Instead, they are a strategic consultation with experienced elected leaders to ensure the curriculum is: Politically relevant Constructive and credible Operationally realistic Effective in shaping meaningful change Your insight will directly inform how this training is delivered across Alberta in 2026. While we value all perspectives, at this time we are inviting only women (inclusive of transgender and non-binary women) to participate, to help ensure a free, open, and honest discussion about the issues female political leaders face. Lift Her Up 2026: Training for Political Leaders We are calling upon all Albertan politicians to #LiftHerUp. ACWS offers in-person training designed specifically for municipal elected officials and their staff. Our all-new 2026 curriculum has been co-created by women leaders from across the political spectrum at all levels of government. Together, we’ll talk about what respectful leadership looks like in practice, how to recognize and respond to harassment and abuse, and how to build an inclusive culture in your office and in your community. This training will equip you to: Identify how patterns of gender-based violence can manifest in the workplace Address harmful behaviours constructively and responsibly Build a lasting office culture of safety, trust, and inclusion If you are an elected or government official interested in learning more about the training, please email liftherup@acws.ca. The results indicated that women experienced the electoral campaign differently than men.
