The Bow Valley Emergency Shelter is dedicated to supporting those who are fleeing domestic and/or sexual violence. Operated by YWCA Banff, services include safety planning, referrals, supportive counselling, access to food, clothing, transportation and a safe place to stay for adults (including gender-diverse folks) and their children. Further support is available through YWCA Banff’s outreach, transitional housing and affordable housing programs. Priority is given to those located in the Bow Valley. Unable to accommodate those fleeing high risk situations.
