Children's Curriculum Mentor Development- Grande Prairie

This is an ACWS member exclusive workshop for shelter child-care workers, supervisors, managers and directors that want to take their children's programming to the next level.
Join Dr. Dawne Clark to: deepen your knowledge of child development and trauma; build mentorship and facilitation skills to better share your knowledge with colleagues and moms; and develop collaborative solutions to your program challenges. This workshop will:
 
  1. Deepen your understanding of the material in Children's Curriculum;
  2. Develop mentorship and facilitation skills such as:
    1. What is mentorship?;
    2. Adult learning principles; and
    3. Formal and informal information sharing strategies, techniques and activities;
  3. Examine Curriculum framework applications for specific programming goals and challenges of participants;
  4. Explore your community context and strategies for enhancing cross-organizational collaboration; and
  5. Utilize the expertise of ACWS membership in the room.
 
Who Should Attend?
  • Any ACWS member or accosiate member staff who have atteneded the 2-day Children's Curriculum Training.
